Paddy Gordon qualified from Cambridge in 1991. He is a hands-on experienced dairy practitioner, working with farmers, vets, industry and academics across the UK. Paddy joined Shepton Vets in 2000.
He gained the RCVS Certificate in Cattle Health and Production in 1994, and has carried out original research into aspects of dairy fertility and health, for which he received the Tuckey Prize in 2002 and 2005, from the British Cattle Veterinary Association.
In 2006, Paddy was appointed an Honorary Lecturer at the Royal Veterinary College, and received an industry award in 2007 for services to the profession.
Paddy carries out teaching for vets and undergraduates at two veterinary schools, and training and health management advice for farmers in many aspects of dairy production medicine, in England, Scotland and Wales.
Paddy has worked with pharmaceutical companies on product trials, for regulatory and marketing purposes, and on product development. He has been on the BCVA Council since 2005, and is currently Chairman of Education.
