 lub this winter for supper and discussions on three new Shepton Top 10 top
 ics. Do you know how your heifers are performing and the average age at fi
 rst calving\, first lactation yield\, and survivability of heifers on your
  farm? Do you know average daily liveweight gain (ADLWG) of your heifers d
 uring different growth periods? Do you want to improve these figures? How 
 young is too young to serve and calve in? How do you compare to other UK f
 arms? Shepton farms?On Tuesday the 5th of March we will be holding a discu
 ssion group at the Pilton Club on heifer health and performance and settin
 g targets for your farm. Come with an empty stomach (food provided!) and a
 ll your questions surrounding heifer rearing and performance. Your heifer 
 calves are your future herd.\nFor those new to the Shepton Top Ten\, we us
 e real data from our Shepton dairy herds to highlight high performance and
  explore how you can improve metrics on your farm. We recognise all client
 s that reach our target\, and one farm from each category will be crowned 
 the ‘Shepton Champion’. They will be invited to share with others how 
 they achieved this.\nFor more information\, speak to one of our vets or co
