 nOur aim is that every delegate goes home not only with a better understan
 ding of the medicines that they use on farm\, but also some practical step
 s that they can take on farm to maximize the effectiveness of the medicine
 s that they use and some key areas where they can take action to reduce th
 e requirement for medicine use.\n\nThis course is run as an interactive gr
 oup session with lots of discussion as we go through the topics and case s
 tudies to allow for further discussion and ensure that all delegates have 
 achieved a good understanding of the course material by the end of the ses
 sion. We take a short break for lunch during the session. All the informat
 ion is summarized in a course workbook that is provided for each delegate 
 to take home.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe Mastering Medicines Course is a Red Tracto
 r approved course on the responsible use of medicines. The course aims to 
 increase awareness of different classes of medicine\, enhance knowledge of
  how different medicines work and how to use them effectively and responsi
 bly as well as understanding antimicrobial resistance. By increasing aware
 ness and knowledge we aim to drive the best practice use of medicines on f
 arms.\n\nDuring the course we go through four major classes of medicine (v
 accines\, antibiotics\, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs\, anthelmint
 ics)\, what they do and when to use them. We will discuss how active herd 
 health planning can ensure that medicines are used effectively. We also co
 ver the safe and effective administration of medicines and ensuring that y
 ou comply with medicine legislation and farm assurance requirements for re

 up\, from smallholders to sheep\, beef and dairy\, which leads to really i
 nteresting variety of cases to discuss. The nature of the course means tha
 t regardless of the level of prior knowledge or experience everyone can ga
