Shepton Vets run the Bath Half for Send a Cow
A team of runners from Shepton Vets completed the Bath Half Marathon on 17th March, once again raising funds for Send a Cow.
The four runners were; Anna Patch and Paddy Gordon from the Farm team, and Lynn Broom and Louisa Saunders from the Pets department. Along with 1200 other runners and with great running conditions the team had a fantastic morning, clocking up the following times:
Paddy 1:38:22
Louisa 1:41:06
Lynn 1:56:51
Anna 2:00:49
Send a Cow has been working with some of Africa’s poorest families for the last 30, helping over 2 million people work their way out of extreme poverty. They provide livestock, tools, seeds and training as part of a programme giving people the hope and means to establish a future for themselves and their families.
Shepton Vets are long standing supporters of Send a Cow, with Farm Vets Spike and Anna visiting Uganda and Kenya to help train farmers and paraprofessionals in livestock husbandry and health care.
Thank you to all those who have donated to this worthwhile cause; we are delighted to announce the tem have raised over £1000 in sponsorship money.
