Here at Shepton Vets we understand the value of sharing knowledge with our farm clients. We hold regular farm meetings, discussion groups, workshops and farm visits to share new ideas and industry developments. These events help us; help you improve your skill set and knowledge on issues relevant to your farm.
Our Winter Discussion Group meetings have been running for several years, and provide farmers with the ability to meet to consider topical problems and new developments in animal health, in a relaxed setting.
Past topics have included:
Bovine TB – Should TB prevention include a programme of Badger vaccination?
The relationship between farmers and retailers
How to grow calves
Our discussion meetings will be back in November. If you have any topics that you would like to be covered please speak to your vet or a member of the office.
Meetings take place on a Monday night at the Pilton Working Men’s Club and start at 7.30pm, refreshments are provided.
Spaces are limited, so please contact the practice if you wish to come to any of the meetings detailed above:
