We sometimes get asked by clients or residents why we sponsor the Shepton Mallet firework display as we know it can cause stress for pets.
Shepton and Wells Vets choose to sponsor this local charity event because we want to encourage a singular organised firework display, we hope that people attend this event rather than host their own garden displays spread across the local area on various nights.
Over the years we have worked hard to provide our clients and local pet owners with tips and ideas on how to prepare beforehand and how to keep animals calm during the event via our social media outlets.
We appreciate that we will never be able to stop fireworks happening but our intent is to have a display that is less than 30mins on a known night that allows pet owners to prepare and plan for this one night of the year.
