The Benefits of great dental services

  • Improved overall health: Dental care is not just about teeth; good dental health can also improve your pet’s general health and entire wellbeing.

  • Preventing dental disease: Regular check-ups and treatment can help avoid painful dental problems, which can also impact on other areas of health.

  • Expert guidance: Our team offers valuable advice for at-home dental care, to help slow the development of periodontal disease and prevent serious dental issues.

  • Enhanced quality of life: Good dental health is important for your pet’s comfort and happiness.

The Process

  • Dental Examination: Our veterinarian will conduct a thorough dental assessment, checking for signs of disease, plaque, and tartar buildup.
  • Periodontal therapy: If necessary, a comprehensive procedure will be conducted under anaesthesia. The mouth will be assessed, radiographs taken as needed and teeth will then be cleaned and, where necessary, extracted.
  • Dental Care Plan: We’ll provide guidance on at-home dental care practices tailored to your pet’s needs.
  • Follow-up: Regular follow-up appointments may be recommended to monitor your pet’s dental health.

Our dentistry service can help with:

  • Dental tartar and plaque buildup
  • Gum inflammation (gingivitis)
  • Dental infections
  • Tooth fractures or damage
  • Bad breath (halitosis)

“We have had a very poorly dog for 2 months, one thing lead to another.
Shepton Vets have been amazing… many…many phone calls, sometimes 3 visits a day, calls at midnight, getting the vet out, Greg and his team have been through this with us all the way.
My dog is now well, and a shining star at the vets. I’ve aged 10 years but without the team at Shepton Vets it might be a different story.
Highly Recommended.”
