At Shepton and Wells Vets, we understand what your pets mean to you, and so our Pets team aim to care for each and every one of them as if they were our own.
For your dogs and cats, exotics and small mammals, our skilled and knowledgeable support staff, veterinary care assistants, veterinary nurses and veterinary surgeons are on hand to help.

Second Opinions and Referrals
Here at Shepton and Wells Vets, the wide variety of interests we have between our Veterinary Surgeons allows us to see second opinion cases or referrals across a range of areas. Over the years we have seen a large number of cases sent from other practices for various surgeries and procedures which would otherwise have required intervention at specialist referral centres, which in some instances can be cost-prohibitive
Areas we are happy to receive second opinions/referrals in include –
- Orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery
- Cardiology
- Internal medicine (including various endoscopy procedures)
- Exotics.
For further information on what we can offer in each of these specific areas, please refer to the relevant section under ‘services’. We are looking to expand this area to also include outpatient CT in the near future.
