Dental Radiography

Dental radiography is an important component of dentistry and supports our comprehensive dental care services at Shepton and Wells Vets. Dental x-rays allow us to assess tissues that are not otherwise visible during a regular dental examination. This allows us to identify problems below the gumline and to plan accurately for extractions.

Dental radiography at Shepton and Wells Vets

  • Precise Diagnosis: Dental radiography allows us to visualize the entire tooth structure, roots, and surrounding bone, ensuring accurate diagnosis of dental issues.
  • Early Detection: We can identify dental problems in their early stages, preventing them from progressing into more serious and painful conditions.

Dental radiography is routinely performed as part of our dental treatment, as needed. Under general anaesthetic, during your pet’s dental treatment, they are carefully positioned to capture clear images of their teeth and jaw.

“All the staff at Shepton Vets are fantastic – they took such great care of my JRT and when she became very poorly their out of hours care and patience with a frantic owner were second to none. I wouldn’t trust any other practice for the care of my pets. Thank You!”
