Where did I go to school?

Whitstone School
Bath College (Somer Valley Campus)

What do I enjoy most about working at Shepton Vets?

The team atmosphere, everyone no matter the job role mucks in to help out.

What am I passionate about, in your work, for Shepton vets, In the veterinary industry?

I strive to give the patients the care that I would expect my own animals to receive. I’m normally found in a kennel cuddled up with an anxious dog or finding ways to reduce stress to our inpatients

What are my primary responsibilities?

Providing care to the patients. Can include: anaesthesia, inpatient care, consultations, radiographs, phlebotomy and IV Cannula placement.
One of my most heartwarming experiences was when we had a client who had found that their once bonded young female rabbits had started to fight. As they were both entire and were at the age where hormones were starting to kick in the client was struggling with what is best. We had multiple telephone and physical consultations in which I was able to answer any questions and give her the reassurance prior to their neutering.

They recovered really well from their neutering procedure and are now back to being the best of friends

Animals at home?

2x Shih Tzus (Charlie and Billy), 4x Rabbits (Ben, Jerry, Alan and Nemo)

As an independent practice, we really value our local community and want to provide the best care for their animals. We are able to provide a wide range of services for our local community. Whether that be orthopaedics, laparoscopic ovariectomy and our own out of hours emergency services.
