Udder health and milk quality

At Shepton Vets we look to provide practical, effective and achievable advice on your farms to improve mastitis and milk quality on both conventional and robotic systems. We take an “at the coal face” approach, engaging at farm level, rather than simply churning out written reports.

Our udder health team consists of Bibby, Charlie and Rob.

Shepton Vets  have access to the most up to date udder health analysis software, on-farm testing equipment and mastitis pathogen identification tools.  This enables us to provide in-depth investigations for your farm business when you need a helping hand with this potentially very costly issue.

We can then use the information and data gathered to create bespoke plans for your farm, focussing on achievable targets that will truly benefit your business and that have a proven track record of success across a large number of different farms that we have been involved in.

“Since working with Charlie on our udder health, we have seen our bulk milk cell count drop by over 100, dry cow cure rates have doubled and overall udder antibiotic usage drop by almost half. His advice was simple but effective and the results speak for themselves.”
