Jade, a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a special interest in feline care. Before pursuing veterinary nursing, Jade volunteered in diverse animal settings, from falconry to rescue centers. Now, she holds the ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing, further solidifying her dedication to cat well-being.
On a surprising note, and watch out, Jade achieved a black belt in karate at the young age of 10!

I volunteered in many different kind of animal care before I settled on veterinary nursing including working with a falconer and at different rescue centres.

What do I enjoy most about working at Shepton Vets?
Spending so much time with animals, especially the cats! Working with critical and hospitalised patients is the best part of my job as it can be so rewarding and allows you to develop such a good bond with the patient
What am I passionate about, in the veterinary industry?
Animal welfare is always my number one priority I am especially passionate about feline care and welfare and the ways in which we can make their experience at the vets and in life more positive
Veterinary nursing was a career change for me in my mid-twenties, I am proud that I was brave enough to go for it as I absolutely love it.
What do I think sets Shepton and Wells Vets apart from competitors?
We really do treat your pets as our own, the team here although it has changed over the years has always been one full of kind people.
Advice or words of wisdom for someone just starting in your field?
It’s worth all the hard work to know that you are truly making a difference to animals and their families. The good times will far outweigh the bad
