What do I enjoy most about working at Shepton Vets?

The team, we have a great team at Shepton Vets.

Striving to provide the best for the patients & clients placed into my care.  I want clients to know that their pet is not alone over night, I am here along with the other night nurses to look after and care for them

What are my primary responsibilities?

Inpatient care, dealing with emergencies, taking over any anaesthetics from the day team, discussing with the Vet’s & nurses inpatient care plans. Helping to set up/prep for the following days surgery. Catching up with any tasks from the day team

Do I have animals at home?

Three Labradors, English Springer Spaniel, a cat, tortoises atm! – hoping to get another Labrador next year!

Names Tweed, Ember, Fig & Peggy, Billy, Cocoa & Kiwi

What sets Shepton and Wells Vets apart from competitors?

The team we have a fantastic team at both sites and the out of hours service provided by our own team, our clients will always see a familiar face

If I could, I would trade jobs with a farm vet for a day

I’ve never worked in the large animal veterinary industry but I very much like the idea. I have kept quite a few sheep in the past and would always help the vet when they came out.

Outside of work, I enjoy …

Spending time with my family & my dogs I spend a lot of time training and working my dogs – I’m also part of a few clubs. I love the outdoors, so we are out in all weathers. If I ever get the chance, I enjoy horse riding. I also like cooking, baking & gin!
