Farm Animal Vet

Kate began her working life on a farm and in a pet shop before going to the University of Glasgow to train to be a vet. Her first vet job was in mid Wales as a mixed animal practitioner, Kate relocated to Somerset and joined Shepton in 2011.

Kate’s favourite call outs are a successful calving or lambing. Kate temporarily left Shepton to embark on alternative career as a midwife, thankfully Kate is back at Shepton for now farm vetting.

Outside of work Kate has 3 boys, 2 of which are twins, she has some Ryland sheep and rabbits.
