Ralph Drouin

Farm Animal Vet

Ralph qualified from London Vet School in 1979. He worked in mixed, mainly farm practice in Somerset until dairy quotas arrived in 1984. He then joined MAFF as a Veterinary Officer, dealt with BSE, TB and Foot and Mouth Disease. Ralph joined Shepton in 2015 as a TB Tester and is trying to encourage clients, whose herds have long term TB problems, to set up an APHA approved isolation unit, where appropriate, so that they can sell beef calves despite their restrictions remaining in place.

Ralph is married with 2 daughters and has a small flock of Texel x Mule ewes and enjoys mountain biking and walking.
