At Shepton Vets, we are proud to offer a dedicated and highly professional cattle foot trimming service designed to support foot health, mobility, and overall herd performance on farm.

Our foot trimming service is delivered by a fully trained, knowledgeable, and accredited professional. Regular CPD ensures they remain up to date with best practice, the latest trimming techniques, and ongoing professional standards through routine auditing.

We provide complete preventative and corrective trimming services for farms of all sizes, including:

· Regular weekly or monthly herd trimming

· Whole-herd trimming visits

· Staggered trimming days to suit your system

We use a modern, mobile trimming setup.

We supply all necessary equipment, including a modern mobile hydraulic trimming crush, enabling an efficient, safe, and welfare-focused service directly on your farm.

Every trimming session is fully recorded using our bespoke software. All trims and lameness lesions are documented, generating clear, detailed reports for both your routine vet and your own farm records.

Meet Our Lead Foot Trimmer

Our foot trimming service is led by Colin Hayden, an exceptionally experienced trimmer with over 26 years of cattle hoof trimming expertise. He is a fully audited CHCSB (Cattle Hoof Care Standards board) and NACFT member. Colin brings outstanding technical skill and practical experience to every farm.

Colin also works alongside our vet, Rosie, delivering our new LANTRA-approved foot trimming training courses.
