24 Hour Emergency Service

Out of our normal opening hours, a vet is always available should an emergency situation arise.

 We provide a 24 hour, seven day a week emergency service for all our clients.

A trained out of hours call operator will ask you a few questions about the nature of your emergency and will request your contact details. They will arrange for the vet on duty to contact you to provide emergency advice over the phone and /or arrange to see you at the practice.

We cover all of our out of hours care with our own team of vets, on a rota out of the main practice in Shepton Mallet. 

Please note that there is a out of hours surcharge for visits outside our normal opening hours.

Please be advised that the surgery is open from 8am Monday to Saturday each morning, but a Vet or Nurse may not be available before 8.30am. If you need an urgent appointment but it is not an emergency situation please call the practice on 01749 343 955.

Our normal opening hours are:

Monday, Wednesday & Friday 8.00am - 6pm

Tuesday & Thursday 8.00am -7pm

Saturday 8.00am - 4.00pm

On Sunday mornings we run a poorly pet clinic from 9.30am -11.00am – this will only be available to pets in need of vet treatment, which cannot wait until normal hours resume on Mondays.

Please call us as normal if you think you might need to be seen during the poorly pet clinic on a Sunday.
